Bee Happy

Today, my sister and I picked some of our own raspberries. Adam held the bowl first, and ate most of it. We didn't have enough to make jam out of it, but there was still a lot left over after all of us were full with raspberries laughing

Dad decided to do a simple Hungarian cherry pie, but instead of cherry, we used the raspberries.

At first, dad let Adel mix up all the dry ingredients in a big bowl. 30 dkg plain flour, 15 dkg sugar, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, half teaspoon of ground clove, a pinch of salt. She did very well, didn't even spill it out. Not even a little bit.

Then he added the rest of the ingredients (4 eggs, 10 dkg butter, 1 dl water, 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence and the zest of one lemon), and let me mix it up with the beater. I let Adam hold it for a little bit too wink

When all was mixed thoroughly, dad poured the mixture into a baking tin, and I licked the bowl. Adel and Adam licked the beaters. It was already so yummy, just couldn't wait to bake it. tongue-out

Then, I poured what we had left of the freshly picked raspberries (about half a kilo) on the top of the dough, and put it in the oven for half an hour on 180 C°.

When it was done and still warm, all of us tried a small slice with a bit of vanilla ice cream. It was heaven on earth. innocent

Hope we can make this more often, even with different fruits. It is just so delicious.
